A Personal Approach to Get You Enjoying Life Again
We are all becoming increasingly aware of the importance of our mental health but still too often our mental health plays second fiddle to our physical well-being.
There is no picture of what someone suffering from mental health problems looks like. Those depressed are not always hunched, drawn and tearful. Those who are anxious are not always startled, tense and wide-eyed. The reality can be very different. Mental health problems don’t discriminate. We know that no age, sex, race, culture or social group is immune.
“These have been difficult times for me and your work has been invaluable for helping me on the path to enjoying life again. You have helped with my problems beyond expectations.”
There are no plaster casts for low self-esteem. We don’t lose our voice when anxiety strikes. Depression doesn’t require stitches. What we do need are compassion and understanding. To get these we need to talk. For some, therapy is the first opportunity they have to open up in an environment that is empathetic, compassionate and non-judgemental.
“When I first started my sessions I felt alone, afraid and not in control of my own mind. Zoe was that light in my week.”
